DHS alum brings one-man play to Sacramento area

Ben Moroski, who graduated from Davis High in 2006, is in the Sacramento area to showcase his award-winning one-man play “This Vicious Minute.” The play chronicles his battle with self-injury. “I started cutting when I was in high school and many, many young people wrestle with the practice,” Moroski said.

The play will be produced by KOLT Run Creations, running in midtown Sacramento from Feb. 27-Mar. 9.

Moroski recently finished a five-week run of the play in Hollywood, and also garnered attention and awards at the Hollywood Fringe Festival the past summer.

He plans to give back to the Davis community by offering tickets at half-price for the Mar. 1 performance, which is on National Self-Injury Awareness Day. The 7 p.m. performance will be showcased at the Ooley Theatre in Sacramento. Tickets will be sold at the door for the discounted price of $10 to those who mention the “7 p.m. DHS rate.”
