MPR closure leaves students out in the cold

By Kate Harris and Anna Sturla

It’s been 2.5 years since the multi-purpose room was shut down at Davis High due to mold. With no replacement in sight, students are forced to find warm places to eat during lunch. As the district contemplates adding a ninth grade to Davis High, the problem may escalate. Kate Harris has the story which was co-produced by Anna Sturla.

Wow! I had no idea students who rely on school lunches had to stand in line like that outside a classroom. What happens when it rains or the weather in very hot or cold. Personally, I just realize how I take it for granted that I get to eat my lunch in a clean and comfortable area with appropriate room temperature. I feel bad for these students. I can’t believe this has been going on for two years.
