REVIEW by Rohan Mohapatra,
HUB Staff Writer–
Iron Man 1 was a good movie. Iron Man 2 was a better movie and succeeded in being a great sequel. Did Iron Man 3 exceed its predecessors?
Iron Man 3 continues right where “The Avengers” left off, with protagonist Tony Stark thinking about his life. The final incident at New York in “The Avengers” left him with psychological problems. He goes through an internal journey to find out the identity of Iron Man. Is he iron man, or is it just the suit?
While Tony Stark is trying to decode himself, the world is faced with a new threat. A terrorist called the Mandarin is bombing places and brutally killing people. Suddenly, the Mandarin announces that his final act of terrorism will be to end the President’s life. Will Stark be able to save the world once again? Will he have the mental strength to do what is needed?
Iron Man 3 had two main ingredients: action and comedy. These two were then put into a blender, resulting in tasty smoothie. Not often can an action movie be as comical as Iron Man 3 was without taking away from the plot or drama. You’ll be laughing at one moment, you’ll be worried the next, and you’ll have a hulking grin on your face when something epic happens (Which is most of the movie.) You’ll one-hundred percent enjoy the film.
Iron Man 3 is more than just a sequel. It’s a defining moment in the life of hero Tony Stark. It’s the prequel to The Avengers 2. Iron Man, one of the best super hero series ever, was the original series that brought Marvel its popularity. Iron Man 3 made the series even better.
If you want see Iron Man 3 just for storyline sake, you won’t be disappointed. If you want to see Iron Man 3 for that epic feeling of a super hero, you won’t be disappointed. If you want to see Iron Man 3 for comedy, you won’t be disappointed. If you want to see a great movie, go watch Iron Man 3.
