The computers at the Davis High library and computer lab are known for its painfully slow speed and outdated feature; however, a huge shipment of brand new computers recently arrived at DHS over spring break.

Librarian Bruce Cummings is very pleased with the new computers, and feels that they are long overdue.

“I’m quite excited about the new computers, this is the first infusion of new computers here at DHS,” Cummings said.

While the newly purchased computers went into the computer labs, the old computers from the computer labs replaced the library computers. Now all of the computers in the library have been upgraded.

The old computers were a drag to Cummings and the other librarians, as they were always having to help kids to just reach the internet or print an essay.

“From a staff perspective, I’m not going to have to be going around troubleshooting with virtually every student. They can do what they need to do and be out in a jiffy” Cummings said.

Both staff and students benefit from this improvement.

Sophomore Kellen Browning was spotted trying out the new technology, and had a much easier and more stress free time using them than before.

“These new computers are definitely a lot easier to use, and a lot faster,” Browning said.
