It is a well-known tradition at Davis High that every year at the homecoming rally, two teachers are selected to win Mr. and Mrs. Gorgeous. This year, the winners are teachers Daniel Gonzalez and Brittney Deibert.
“I’m not positive why I won, but I would like to think it is because I have made a difference here at DHS,” Deibert said. “And of course my wonderful sense of humor.”
Deibert is a Spanish teacher at DHS. She currently displays her Mrs. Gorgeous crown on her stuffed llama in her classroom.
Sophomore Sami Esquivias feels that Diebert is a good role model and sets a good example to all the girls at DHS.
“I think she’s awesome,” Esquivias said.
Gonzalez is a math teacher at the high school and the men’s varsity basketball coach.
“He’s really funny and an all around cool guy,” sophomore Cara Satre said.
Gonzalez is a well-known teacher around campus, especially for his sense of humor.
“I like to try and get to know as many students as possible whether I have them in my classes or not,” Gonzalez said.
Both being loved by students and taking part in the DHS community, working to improve the students and the school, these two teachers set the bar high when they received their well-deserved title.
