The JV women’s lacrosse team suffered a tough loss against San Ramon 2-21 on Mar. 13 in the team’s second game of the season.

Sophomores Addie O’Hanlon and Marissa Wong made the only Davis High goals of the game during the first half, and the team went into halftime with a score of 2-12.

“We had some good transitions in the beginning, but then we just broke down because they kept scoring,” assistant coach Lisa Branch said.

The girls buckled down on defense towards the end of the match and stopped San Ramon from  scoring a final time.

The team has six new players this year, and for them, the game against San Ramon was their second ever match.

“They really need to get to know each other better as a team, and work on communication,” Branch said

The team had excellent performances from sophomores Sophia Sangervasi, Lucy Shauman and O’Hanlon.

“We gave a lot of heart, and we’re gonna come out next game better than ever,” O’Hanlon said.
