The Davis High men’s varsity tennis team dominated the Franklin Wildcats 8-1 at its match on April 13.

According to team member and sophomore Kyle Qi, the match was another step toward winning sections, and it helped prepare the team for whats to come later.

“Today was a good practice for Norcals, and as a team we are trying to work on more consistency and teamwork for doubles players,” Qi said.

Qi is looking forward to a fun and exciting rest of the season, and is hoping that the Blue Devils will win sections and go far at the Northern California Tennis Tournament.

According to senior Jacob Woodard, although he played well in the match today, he will continue to focus in all his tennis skills in general to prepare for Norcals.

“For tennis, you can never be at the top of your game if you aren’t physically and mentally prepared. I am looking forward to great instruction from my coach,” Woodard said.

The Blue Devils take on Pleasant Grove on April 14.
