The Davis High women’s tennis team beat River Valley 7-2 on Thursday, Sept. 24. This match brought the Blue Devils to 3-2 this season, with plenty of matches left this fall.

Junior Addie O’Hanlon swept her match 2-0, winning the first game 6-4 and the second 6-1.

“I think our team played really well and the people who lost had really close games,” O’Hanlon said. “I think I played a lot better in the second set than I did in the first, once I got more comfortable and got used to how the other girl played.”

This coming Monday the Blue Devils have a match against Monterey Trail, which they beat last year, and on Tuesday they square up against Sheldon.

“I think the rest of the season will go great because everyone has been working very hard,” O’Hanlon said. “Our toughest opponent so far has been St. Francis who we lost to last week but we’re playing them in a couple of weeks so hopefully that will go well.”
