The Davis High ski team is nearing the end of its six-race season; the final competition before the state meet is Friday, Feb. 19. This winter has brought much more snow than in the past few years, but despite the shifting weather patterns, the team has still experienced continued success.

The Blue Devils have the biggest team in the division–and the most successful. So far this season, DHS has won all division races.

“This year has been great,” junior Sean Mahoney said. “We actually have snow. I made varsity so the competition has increased which is a good thing.”

More ski runs are open, giving athletes the chance to try different techniques and use an array of skiing skills. The team has also been able to ski at more resorts than it did last year.
