Despite the hectic homecoming schedule, Davis High students are buzzing with excitement. Though this event has now become a ritual for juniors and seniors, the sophomores at DHS will be experiencing their first homecoming.

The activities this week will include spirit days, door decorating, the parade starting in Central Park and ending up at the high school, the football game and the homecoming dance.

Sophomore Clementine Perez is ready to go all out in support of DHS by dressing up for spirit week, going to the football game and attending the homecoming dance.

Perez says she enjoys the excuse to dress up. While she plans to dress her best all week, she looks forward to Jet Lag Thursday, a day to sport her comfiest attire.

Marcella Stone-Fox also looks forward to participating in her first homecoming. She plans to deck herself out in blue clothing on Friday. “I am looking forward to see people dressing up for spirit week,” the sophomore said.

Stone-Fox is also prepared for the homecoming dance this Saturday. She is happy that the dance is over the weekend, allowing the homecoming week to last longer.

Both Sara Noren and Shayleigh Thompson are also going to participate during the spirit days this week. “I like having a spirit week,” Noren said. “I am looking forward to everything!” Thompson said.
