School ended early latest at 12:48 in preparation for the homecoming parade. The parade started at the community park in Downtown Davis and made its way to Davis High.

Many students were happy about the early dismissal, such as sophomore Juan Soto, who enjoys short school days.

“They should do it more often,” Soto said.

Soto planned to play video games and spend time with friends after early dismissal.

Junior Tyler Xoquic already had a very short school day.

“I have half day, like, every day,” Xoquic said.

Xoquic believes half days are helpful for doing homework.

Like Soto and Xoquic, world civilization teacher Kristin Swanstrom likes the early dismissal. She said she would pick up her kids and watch the parade, though she wishes that Homecoming had a higher participation rate.
