It’s the beginning of the fall, which means there will be pumpkin spice lattes to drink, fashionable sweaters to wear and pumpkin patches to explore. The Bobby Dazzler Pumpkin Patch, off of Highway 113, opened on Sept. 21. Open from 12-7 p.m. on weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends, it is a great place for people of all ages to enjoy.

Once you park, you will immediately see a selection of pumpkins, squashes and gourds available to pick. With a variety of over 150 pumpkins, there are a lot of options.

Since the pumpkins are grown at the patch, they are very inexpensive. The prices for pumpkins range from $1 to $40.

At Bobby Dazzler’s, there are numerous activities to do besides picking pumpkins. One fun activity is a cow train that takes you on a wild ride through the corn field.

“It seems like a kiddy ride at first, but the cow trains [are] enjoyable for all ages,” said Ashley Bush, manager of the pumpkin patch. “We have even had sororities and high school teams rent out the whole train for a couple hours after hours.” The cow train costs $5 and lasts about 10 minutes.

The milo maze is one of the main attractions of the pumpkin patch. Each year, the owner’s family sits together and has a competition to see who can draw up the best corn maze. Whoever wins gets their design planted.

The corn maze time differs every year, but it usually averages from 20 to 40 minutes. It costs about $6 per person to enter the maze.

A petting zoo is also located on the premises. It costs $5 and has a wide variety of animals that you don’t see everyday. They have goats, horses, cows, chickens, bunnies and even a tortoise.
