June 1: Seniors Tim McIntyre and Lin Yang get ice cream from the Ice Cream Social put on by student government on May 31.
May 29: Students line up to collect the 2012 yearbook, “The Pursuit of Happiness.”
May 28: The Davis community convenes at the Art Center for the annual outdoor performance by the Acme Theater Company. This year Acme performed “Shakespeare Abridged”, a comic sketch that incorporates all the plays of William Shakespeare.
May 22: Students park their cars on the quad today for others to see and vote for their favorites.
May 21: The 14th Street parking lot is fully closed and under construction. The lot was closed completely on May 18 to install solar panels.
May 18: Davis residents race around in inflatable balls at Celebrate Davis. The celebration had many local vendors and the night ended in fireworks.
May 15: Construction crews block off a portion of the Veteran’s Memorial parking lot as they prepare to install new solar panels. Full closure of the parking lot is planned later this week.
May 15: People gather at the UCD Quad on this year’s Whole Earth Festival, which is held every year, to participate in festivities around campus.

Blue Devils lacrosse clinches the title in matter of seconds
By Inés Guinard, HUB Staff– On May 15, the men’s varsity lacrosse playoff opener against the Granite Bay Grizzlies went without surprises: the Grizzlies and Blue Devils were neck and neck.
