Students struggle to access Zangle Student Connection website after DHS administrators handed out new passwords March 29.

“I don’t like the passwords they chose but the earlier ones were definitely insecure,” sophomore Grant Rose said.

The new passwords consist of a random scramble of letters and numbers, 10 characters long. These passwords reflect a substantial change from the old ones, which were created based on student names.

According to the counseling office, the passwords are not meant to be remembered, they are supposed to be written down.

“I don’t need my password, I never check Zangle,” said sophomore Noah Wolfe.

The Zangle Student Connection website allows students to access their current transcript, graduation requirements and test scores along with other academic information.

The counseling office gives out password reminders to students who have lost their pink password slip.

An internet post containing all of the student passwords caused DHS administrators to make the change.
