The Davis High’s men’s lacrosse team beat Petaluma High School 20-4 on Tuesday, March 22. The game kicked off with junior Rowan Hart quickly scoring Davis’ first goal of the game.

Junior Sean Gellen soon followed, earning Davis its second point.

Despite a couple attempts, Petaluma was not able to score on Davis in the first quarter, resulting in a first quarter score of 6-0 Davis.

Two minutes into the second quarter, Petaluma scored its first goal. However, the team could not match the Davis’ players quick passes and maneuvers.

With a lot of help from senior midfielder Jake Hammond and sophomore goalie Wade Matern, the Devils led 12-3 at the half.

Even though his team won, junior Paul Buhlman says there is always room for improvement.

“We made some errors and could have played much better,” Buhlman explained.

Buhlman has high hopes for the team for the rest of the season.

“I hope that our team will continue to play well and win our games,” he said.
