Davis residents gathered all around downtown Davis to see the Davis High homecoming parade on Oct. 13. The parade was full of clubs and teams, putting together balloons and posters to make intricate floats.

From clubs like FFA to Link Crew, the crowd cheered on these participants as their floats made its way around Central Park and back to DHS.

“It’s great to be part of it, to wave at people and just stand on the float,” Link Crew adviser and English teacher Bill Williams said. “And you get to see students who graduated, watching the parade.”

Pep band led the way, cheerfully marching and blasting music to the whole crowd.

“Even though we didn’t get to go on an actual float, it was fun to play music for the whole city of Davis,” sophomore Micah Boughton said.

JV and varsity football also attended the parade, sitting on hay bales, waving and throwing candy to the crowd.

“I think it’s a nice thing for anyone to just come out and support the high school,” junior Emmanuel Navarrette said. “I think the parade went really well.”
