The Davis High JV field hockey team lost their home game on Oct. 12, against the number one ranked team in the league: Pleasant Valley.

After a scoreless first half, Pleasant Valley eventually scored in the second half.

JV head coach Nicole Heitkam, praised Audrey Takei for her performance on the defensive side of the ball.

“She was everywhere, she had a great game and was tenacious going to every ball,” Heitkam said.

“I thought we played pretty well. We just need to get more shots on goal and I think we’d win a lot more of these games,” sophomore Ruby Adler said.

Although the result may not have been what they wanted, Coach Heitkam is still proud of how her team played.

“We were able to rise up to their level,” Heitkam said.
