Harrison Balsdon’s great blocks kept the Oak Ridge Trojans behind the Devils in the junior varsity men’s waterpolo game at Arroyo Pool on Oct. 26.  The defensively strong Blue Devils beat the Trojans 8-5.

Balsdon accounted for a large amount of blocks in Wednesday’s game, and contributed to the win. Valente Dolcini and Evan Chen both also blocked several shots throughout the game.

Patrick Cajandig scored 3 goals, taking the win. “It wasn’t a ton of points, but it definitely helped the team,” Cajandig said.

The Blue Devils grabbed the win with the help of some great passes by Dolcini, and Sam Burke. “It’s instincts, you don’t have time to think,” Dolcini said.

Alex Borowsky added to the defense with key blocks during the whole game.

Precise defense was key to the win during this late-season game. The team plays again on Oct. 27.
