Despite the hectic homecoming schedule, Davis High students were buzzing with excitement. Though this event has now become a ritual for juniors and seniors, the sophomores at DHS were thrilled to experience their first homecoming.
The activities this week included spirit days, the Homecoming parade, the Homecoming football game and the Homecoming dance.
Sophomore Clementine Perez supported DHS by dressing up for spirit week, going to the football game and attending the homecoming dance.
“You get to wear cool outfits,” Perez said, admiring the excuse to dress up. While she plans to dress her best all week, she looked forward to Jet Lag Thursday, a day to sport her comfiest attire.
Sophomore Marcella Stone-Fox also looked forward to participating in her first Spirit Week. She decked herself out in blue clothing on Friday.
“I [looked] forward to see people dressing up for spirit week,” Stone-Fox said.
In addition to Spirit Week, Stone-Fox also prepared for the Homecoming dance. The sophomore was happy that the dance was over the weekend, allowing the homecoming week to last longer.
