On Monday, some Davis High students were thrilled to attend the rally where they would be able to bond with their classmates and show their school spirit. During the rally, the dance team made a spectacular entrance.
In addition to their rally performance, the team plans to perform during the halftime show at the homecoming football game this Friday, Sept. 30.
Junior Alyssa Singh is part of this year’s dance team and had practiced hard with her team to get the dance performance just right.
“We practice twice a week and we make sure our routines are clean and ready to perform,” Singh said.
Sophomore Jessica Diaz is excited for her first homecoming at DHS and believes that she and her teammates have been preparing well for this moment.
“We’ve been working really hard, lots of hard work,” Diaz said.
Senior Skyler Mikalson joined the dance team last year during basketball season. This Friday will be his first time performing with the team at a homecoming game.
“I think it will be so fun, like all dance team performances, but it will be extra special,” Mikalson said.
