The Davis High varisty and JV womens soccer teams held their tryouts on Nov. 2.

Many of the athletes who tried out have been playing soccer since they were young. Through that time they have developed lifelong bonds with their teamates.

“My favorite thing about this team is the energy and team bond we have, you can’t find it anywhere else. It just makes the season so fun,” junior Sabrina Hazel said.

Hazel is in her 12th year of playing soccer, three of which have been for the highschool.

Felow junior Grace Fabionar also played for the highschool last year, after playing since she was four.

“I have played soccer for as long as I can remember and I love how I can always count on my regular practices to lift my spirits no matter how my day went,” Fabionar said.

At tryouts they were tested on ball control, speed, ability to work with different people and testing in game-like situations. The results were announced on Nov. 5.

“I’m excited! We have a really strong team this year and I can’t wait to see how far we go,” Fabionar said.
