ASB PRESIDENT – uncontested

Sahda Binder

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as ASB President?
    1. One thing I plan to accomplish as ASB President is working closely with committee heads and our executive board to ensure that things are running smoothly in Stud Gov. I want to make sure all of the committees are organized and understand their tasks at hand to put on successful events. I also want to keep the fun traditions our class has alive and make sure nothing gets left behind with our switch in Activities Directors. I love this class and am looking forward to having a fun and bonded year!
  2. How will you use your leadership skills to organize and lead the student government class?
    1. Having been in Stud Gov since sophomore year and involved in Leadership throughout elementary and junior high, I know what it’s like to be a general member and in an elected position. Through this experience, I know what support my classmates will need from me next year and will use my knowledge to help them and effectively run the class.
  3. Outline one specific thing you have done in Stud Gov thus far that you think makes you qualified for the role of ASB President.
    1. As Junior Class President this year I planned Wi-Ball alongside my Vice President Mako Barrios and increased ticket sales from last year by 20%. This success means we raised more money for the Class of ‘25 prom! Heading this committee has helped me learn the ins and outs of what it takes to put on a fun and beneficial Stud Gov event. With this, I can be an ASB Prez who can help others plan more successful activities!
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Be a winner and vote for Bhinder!

ASB VICE PRESIDENT

Noelani Castillo

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as ASB Vice President?
    1. One specific thing I hope to accomplish as ASB VP is to always listen to students’ voices and look for ways to improve the environment of DHS in a way that benefits every student. It is important to continue to modernize our school traditions and values. I will always seek student feedback on events/sports/spirit weeks so students can be a part of decision making. It is important to me to create an approachable and welcoming school environment so students feel they are a part of this community. As VP, I will do my best to make more opportunities for student involvement.
  2. Outline one specific thing you have done in Stud Gov thus far that you think makes you qualified for the role of ASB Vice President.
    1. One thing I’ve done in Stud Gov that makes me qualified for this position is my current role as ASB Secretary. I’ve had a lot of fun and I’ve learned a lot through this position. Most importantly, I’ve learned how to be a teamplayer in the class and enhance my communication and collaboration skills. I will be able to take these skills and help our class so that our main focus is more events for the student body, making the student body our first priority.
  3. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. My slogan that defines my campaign is Cast a Vote for Castillo for ASB VP!

Katie McMullen

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as ASB Vice President?
    1. As ASB Vice President, my primary job would be to support my President. However, I also plan to achieve my own realistic goals; namely adding paper towels to all the bathrooms, improving storm irrigation so our campus isn’t one giant river when it rains, and reviewing our unfair tardy policy. I know that a positive relationship with DHS administration is vital for success, and I am willing to work with them on all matters to ensure reasonable resolutions.
  2. Outline one specific thing you have done in Stud Gov thus far that you think makes you qualified for the role of ASB Vice President.
    1. I ran the Canned Food Drive this year! It was the first time I had to work on a logistically tight schedule in Stud Gov while also trying to bring awareness and hype to the student body. With only two days left in the drive, we had only raised about one hundred cans as a school – when our goal was one thousand. It forced me to get creative with how I wanted to motivate us, and we finished the drive with about 950 cans (1,800 pounds) of food!
  3. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Don’t be shady, vote for Katie!

SENIOR CLASS PRESIDENT

Mako Barrios

  1. What is one specific thing, outside of prom, you hope to accomplish as Senior Class President?
    1.  I believe that while we have many students with lots of school spirit, there also exists a large portion of the student body that does not participate in as many school events. As senior class president, I would make a major effort to help the student body appreciate all that these students do and hopefully through being recognized and supported by the school, it would cause them to want to support the school in turn, increasing the amount of student participation in all school events such as games, concerts, school plays, dances, and more.
  2. What is your plan for prom? Include fundraising and theming ideas.
    1. For Prom I think we would have the most success in polling and asking other students their ideas for a theme to try and satisfy as many students as possible with whatever the theme may end up being. In regards to fundraising, I would contact many different local businesses which have historically agreed to help fundraise for DHS. I have a lot of experience in getting into contact with different businesses so this would not be an issue for me.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. I am currently serving as Junior Class Vice President and already have experience in leading both dance planning and float building. I have no issues talking to people and am an effective communicator and as a result I tend to do really well when put in leadership positions.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Don’t be fako. Vote for Mako!

Axel Sundin

  1. What is one specific thing, outside of prom, you hope to accomplish as Senior Class President?
    1. One of my goals as Senior Class President is to increase awareness around school events so that everyone has the opportunity to experience the super fun events that our school puts on, especially the ones that are less widely attended, like movie night and last year’s carnival. I would also like to create big events like Break the Record Night and the Homecoming game for other sports, and have teamed up with Will Barker from 93shots in order to do this.
  2. What is your plan for prom? Include fundraising and theming ideas.
    1. My biggest goal for prom is to make sure that everyone in school has a say, so I really want to get input from the student body to hear what THEY want instead of just what the student government class wants. Prom is a big part of everyone’s high school experience and I want it to be special for everyone. For fundraising, I am planning on partnering with restaurants and running the carousel at the Famer’s market, along with going to the PTA and Site Council.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. Through being in Student Government this past year, I’ve learned how things run at DHS. I played a part in the planning of WiBall and have done some work on this year’s prom. Also, as this year’s Clubs Commissioner, I’ve formed connections with administrators, preparing me for success as Senior Class president.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Let fun in, vote Sundin!

SENIOR CLASS VICE PRESIDENT

Griffin Feldt

  1. What is one specific thing, outside of prom, you hope to accomplish as Senior Class Vice President?
    1. One thing I would like to do outside of prom is get more involvement with underrepresented and under attended sports. This includes soccer, women’s basketball, tennis, swim, field hockey, men’s volleyball, and lacrosse. I know these sports are all fun to watch, so I think we should get more people attending these games and hyping up the squads. Especially at these underappreciated sports events, I think with more exposure from BDP Squad and 93Shots_Athletics, we can get the attendance up at these games and make the student sections hype.
  2. What is your plan for prom? How will you support the senior class presidents efforts in making that come to life?
    1. For prom I would like to include the entire body in choosing themes. Since all seniors have a chance to go to prom, I believe they should also all have a chance to give their input on the theme. I don’t think it should only be the student government class that gets to have the say since they’re not the only ones going to prom. There are a lot of people at this school and I think they could have some excellent ideas to have a great prom night.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. I am qualified for this role because I have experience being in student government for a year. During this time, I have been learning what it takes to run the events that are the best part of school, like homecoming, break the record night, and other dances. I also played a big role in building and decorating the junior float this year, and I think I can bring the seniors together next year to blow the juniors out of the water.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Stop Trippin’ and Vote for Griffin

Audrey Aguirre

  1. What is one specific thing, outside of prom, you hope to accomplish as Senior Class Vice President?
    1. I aspire to empower the senior class, and enhance unity and enjoyment within our school to ensure a memorable experience before we all take a step in a new direction. I will take the lead in fostering communication and teamwork, and will advocate for active participation because every voice should be valued. Surveys can be sent out to gather suggestions and feedback related to spirit days, rallies, senior merch, and more. Another objective is to work together to establish a new, yet lasting tradition on behalf of the Class of 2025. My goal is not only to make our year remarkable, but also to contribute to a lasting legacy for the future of DHS.
  2. What is your plan for prom? How will you support the senior class presidents efforts in making that come to life?
    1. I aim to make prom extra special since it’s an event everyone eagerly anticipates. To start, I’d inquire about everyone’s dreams for prom and communicate those suggestions. I would support the class president by organizing responsibilities for decorations, catering, music, photo ops, and other details to guarantee a memorable and well planned event. Additionally, I’d strategize fundraising events that are budget-friendly for all, yet contribute progressively to the prom budget.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. As an assistant coach at Davis Legacy SC, I’ve improved my skills in motivating and building connections with others, listening to feedback, and communicating ideas effectively. Through my involvement in a National Charity League and a nonprofit soccer organization, I have learned valuable lessons on productively serving my community!
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Trust in me, vote Audrey for VP!

JUNIOR CLASS PRESIDENT

Melia Ackerman

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as Junior Class President?
    1. Together with my Vice President Caitlyn Garcia, I plan to improve communications between the student body and administration. We hope to create a system in which students can directly voice their ideas and concerns to Student Government through an easily accessible website in real-time. We will take these ideas to the school board and our principal to put your ideas into action. This will ensure that everybody’s ideas are heard and reduce the gap between students and administrators. Similarly, this system will allow students to receive earlier notice about school events and opportunities, such as SATs and college fairs.
  2. What is your plan for winter formal/the junior dance? Include fundraising and theming ideas.
    1. Caitlyn Garcia and I plan to collaborate with popular food locations to create fun and successful fundraisers to support our junior class events! For example, we will contact a company like Chipotle to negotiate profits and donations. Students brought in by this fundraiser will be bringing in business for the company and the school will get some of the profit because of this. At the dance, we will work to include food, drink, photo booths, and more. Any ideas from the student body will be considered, and I will make them happen to the best of my ability.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. I am qualified to be Junior President because of my previous leadership positions. I was in student government as a Peer-Elected Student Representative and a WEB leader in Middle School. I coach children’s soccer and work closely with other coaches to facilitate events to keep students engaged and having fun.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Connection starts with successful communication.

Evan Swanson

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as Junior Class President?
    1. As Junior class president, I hope to increase student attendance to school events such as sports typically without an audience, theater performances, concerts, and more. I want  performers and players to feel supported and have the student attendees bonded together.  This might just make for a memorable junior year to hold onto throughout life. To execute this plan, I want to create a system where students earn points for attending events, allowing them to buy merchandise with these points.
  2. What is your plan for winter formal/the junior dance? Include fundraising and theming ideas.
    1. My idea for the winter ball dance is a fire and ice theme! A fire and ice dance would hold a plethora of red and blue accents filling the room. We will have clashing crimson and icy blue decorations hanging throughout the gym. Students will wear semi-formal attire in either fiery colors or bright, wintry colors. The room will consist of dark blue lighting and fire effects shooting into the air. It will be the best Winter Ball held in DSHS history.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. I am qualified for this role because I will work my hardest to provide service for our class. I will take on work with an open mind and positive perspective. I have been in leadership positions for ASB and clubs, including the founder and former president of a book club.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Vote Ev for Junior Prez! Together let’s succeed and connect.

JUNIOR CLASS VICE PRESIDENT

Caitlyn Garcia

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as Junior Class Vice President?
    1. As Junior Class President and Vice President, Melia Ackerman and I have created a goal to achieve for our time in office. Our idea was to improve communication from students to admin, and from admin/stud gov to the general public. This provides early notice for events like, PSAT/SAT, rallies, ticket sales, AP tests, college/military visits, etc.. We hope to further improve communications by creating a system for students to directly voice their ideas/concerns to admin and vice versa. We want our plans to bridge the trust and communication within the district.
  2. What is your plan for winter formal/the junior dance? How will you support the junior class presidents efforts in making that come to life?
    1.  Melia Ackerman and I plan to collaborate with local food businesses to fundraise for future Junior class events like the dance. For example, we will contact popular locations (chipotle, blaze, yoloberry, etc.) to negotiate profit percent and donations. The public brings in business that circles back through the DHS community for such events. I will aid the Junior class President in contacting and managing profits from these small businesses. I also plan to brainstorm ideas for dance themes and help them come to life.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1.  I am qualified for Junior VP because of my past leadership roles. I was elected class rep from 2nd-7th grade. I was also a WEB leader, karate instructor, and camp counselor. Additionally, I spoke to the DJUSD board to get our fields re-done when they were dangerous for the school.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Connection starts with successful communication.

Dominic Corbett

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as Junior Class Vice President?
    1. Beyond the typical duties as Junior Class Vice President, such as float building and planning Winter Ball, I hope to increase attendance at school events for less-popular sports, music, other arts, and more. When I performed in DHS’s production of “12 Angry Jurors”, I was disappointed with the lack of students in the audience. Now, I hope to change situations like that with a unique system. The idea is that students receive points for attending events and can then spend those points on merchandise and other fun prizes.
  2. What is your plan for winter formal/the junior dance? How will you support the junior class presidents efforts in making that come to life?
    1. A unique idea my campaign partner and I have devised for Winter Ball is a fire and ice theme. We will have contrasting red and blue decorations, along with dark indigo lighting and exciting fire effects. Students will be encouraged to wear semi-formal attire in either bright wintry colors, or fiery colors. In order to make this vision a reality, I will work day and night alongside the Junior Class President to make the greatest Winter Ball in DHS history come to life!
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. I am in the Student Government class this year as a Sophomore Senator. With this leadership position, I have been responsible for building the class float, managing class funds, helping with dances, along with many other crucial tasks that a Junior Vice President must assist in.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. VOTE DOMINIC C FOR JUNIOR VP!!!

SCHOOL BOARD REPRESENTATIVE

Sneha Budhathoki

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as School Board Representative?
    1. As School Board Representative, I hope to promote diversity in the voice of students, ensuring that everyone has access to the support and resources that they need. Everyone deserves the right to have a say in matters that affect them, so my goal is to lift underrepresented voices and have their views taken seriously as we are the next generation to take charge. I hope students feel seen and heard and I will work hard to ensure this.
  2. How will you make sure student voices are heard through your platform on the school board?
    1. I will work to establish a more transparent communication system between the school board and student voices. I plan to implement a resource where students can submit questions and viewpoints on issues that I will present to the board. Communication via surveys, discussions, and feedback will always be encouraged to apply for. High school should be about self-discovery and finding belonging in your community. By taking a chance, our voices have a much bigger impact than we believe they could have. I will not be afraid to speak truthfully on the opinion of the DHS student body.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. I have spoken on behalf of people in stories ranging from social justice to change with my work being published in the paper and online. I am also experienced in presenting in hour-long meetings for conducting an exchange student program, discussing topics concerning inclusiveness.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. My campaign slogans are “In change, we trust” and “Your voice matters”

Maya Carvajal

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as School Board Representative?
    1. I want to bring more attention specifically to hate crimes and acts of assault that happen on campus or at school events. I want to pursue justice with my position.
  2. How will you make sure student voices are heard through your platform on the school board?
    1. I will do interviews with individual students and read out their concerns and issues and I will speak about clubs on campus and student run activities that don’t receive as much recognition and support.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. As current school board representative I have experience in the role and I hope to grow and learn from my own experience to create more change.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. A vote for maya is a vote for the student body.

CLUBS COMMISSIONER

Jonas Orr

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as School Board Representative?
    1. One specific thing I hope to accomplish as clubs commissioner is to create a one-stop shop for all things club-related.  We currently have a webpage with a few resources but I’d like to work to build this page out and include a master calendar of club meetings, events, and up-to-date contact information for students to reference from a phone or device.  I will work to launch this effort before the fall semester’s club fair so we can have a very productive year and ultimately get more students involved in clubs and activities.
  2. How will you make sure student voices are heard through your platform on the school board?
    1. As Clubs Commissioner I will work closely with the various club officers, listen to any concerns they have, and provide resources to support them.  I will be the voice of the different clubs at student government meetings. I will build connections with clubs to learn about their goals and work to link them with resources that can help them achieve their goals. I plan to be very accessible for students.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. Serving on the Congressional Student Leadership Council, representing student perspectives has helped me to become a better leader and communicator.  As a WEB leader in 9th grade and a summer camp group leader, I have learned how to listen to students’ needs and help them access information and resources.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. If you want our clubs to soar, look no more! Vote Jonas Orr for Clubs Commissioner!

Helena Massotti Miranda

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as Clubs Commissioner?
    1.  I think it would be really helpful to have two club fairs per year, one at the start of each semester. It would likely encourage students to join a wider variety of clubs and enhance their experiences throughout the year.
  2. How will you ensure that all student clubs are given equitable access to grant money?
    1. In terms of club grants, I was thinking of establishing really transparent criteria for all clubs, factoring things such as club size, proposed activities, guest speakers, service hours, etc. Club grants depend on the school, but I would strive to ensure that every club gets the grants they ask for.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. I have a lot of experience planning events such as festivals, conferences, and fundraisers, which I believe could be useful in planning/helping to plan club functions. I’ve also been budgeting money for a relatively long time, so dealing with club grants wouldn’t be completely foreign to me.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. I may not be in the Justice League, but I could be in your Student Council. Vote Helena for Clubs Commissioner! I’m Batman

Lucas Peauroi

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as Clubs Commissioner?
    1. My main goal as club commissioner is to create a Database with all DHS clubs, along with a brief description of each club, and finally descriptor tags for each club. This would make the process of finding clubs to join easier much easier as you would be able to sort through and filter clubs by key tags/descriptors. During the 2023-2024 school year, DHS reached the most amount of clubs active in school history. I seek to not only continue this, but pursue further improvement if I have the privilege to serve.
  2. How will you ensure that all student clubs are given equitable access to grant money?
    1. I plan on having designated times for clubs to submit grant applications, similar to the current system. Based on the given DHS budget for clubs, I will review club grants with other staff members and hand out grant money appropriately based on; club size, planned club events, previous community impact and fundraising plans. I also would like to, if possible, create a small reserve of money for additional club grants if clubs require more funding. They would be able to access more grants by submitting another application stating what they plan to do with the money.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. I am qualified for club commissioner at DHS because I am very organized and prompt. I am also experienced in graphic and web design which would be helpful for creating an effective clubs list. Furthermore, I am already familiar with the position already through the current club commissioner, Axel Sundin.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. A vote for Peauroi is a vote for Joy.

Kiera Williams

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as Clubs Commissioner?
    1. As Clubs Commissioner, I want to increase communication between clubs to make sure everyone’s needs are met. This increase between the student body and the club results in students having knowledge of what options are available and what clubs would suit them best. With students knowing what clubs are out there, I hope they will feel more included and connected at Davis Senior High School.
  2. How will you ensure that all student clubs are given equitable access to grant money?
    1. To ensure that all clubs are getting the money they need, I will have every club complete a survey describing their financial needs, what their goals are, and how they hope to accomplish them with the support of club grants. From there, I can better assess the monetary needs of each club and distribute money based on the support each club needs. It is important to have open communication between clubs so that grants and finances can be distributed equitably between all clubs.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. I have organized two youth basketball teams where I have learned proper communication between adults and youth. I know how crucial it is to have parents and players on the same page and plan on using that knowledge to ensure the same goes for administration and clubs as Clubs Commissioner.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSIONER

Nisha Chander – no response

Liliana Teague

  1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as Communications Commissioner?
    1. As communications commissioner, I hope to create eye-catching, interesting, and engaging content that will help keep my fellow students informed on campus.
  2. How will you use your platform as head of Stud Gov’s social media to increase transparency in communication from the school and Stud Gov to students?
    1. My goal is to increase transparency and keep students informed by posting on social media consistently and with enough advance notice so students have ample time to be aware of campus events.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. As the ASB vice president and active involvement in Leadership, I have gained a strong understanding of how important communication is in a school environment. I believe my strengths with social media, proficient communication, eye for design, writing skills, and creative ideas will serve me well in this position.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Don’t blow it, make you vote POP! Vote Liliana Teague for Communications Commissioner.

WELLNESS COMMISSIONER

Jasarae DeRemer

  1. What is your vision for Wellness Week? Mention how you hope to fund it.
    1.  I want to continue the traditions of providing mental health resources to students, as well as free fidgets, cupcakes, etc. Most of all though I would like to extend the reach of Wellness Week so that students are also receiving some support during finals week itself because both weeks can be particularly stressful.
  2. As this is a newer role, what do you hope to add to this roles legacy to carry on beyond your time in Stud Gov?
    1. Two reasons that people don’t get help is because they don’t know how to and they don’t realize that they’re struggling. That is why, aside from continuing the work of our previous Wellness Commissioners, I would like to start an annual event for Mental Illness Awareness Week. A big part of helping those struggling with their mental health is spreading awareness, so I want to implement that into our school. Additionally, I would like to increase the outreach done by the Wellness Commissioner so that even if people don’t know how to ask for it, they can get help.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1.  I’m a member of Student Government and have five years of working to benefit and reach a large number of students. Most importantly, I am very interested in mental health and take it very seriously. I want to do whatever I can to improve the mental health of DHS.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Slay the day with Jasarae!!

Che Yang

  1. What is your vision for Wellness Week? Mention how you hope to fund it.
    1. I want to hand out stickers, small journals, and fidget items, like snake cubes and stress balls, with notes attached to them with mental health resources. On Monday and Tuesday, I plan to have people write down something kind on a piece of paper anonymously and throw it into a container. After they are reviewed, they will be given to people on Thursday. Lastly, like last semester’s wellness week, I will keep the tradition of handing out cupcakes on Friday. I hope to fund this by collaborating with popular places for fundraisers and using our given budget from Student Government.
  2. As this is a newer role, what do you hope to add to this roles legacy to carry on beyond your time in Stud Gov?
    1. I plan to create passionate projects and goals that will set an example for future wellness commissioners, who can improve on my ideas yearly or create their own. I hope the impact on my community will inspire other leaders to take on this position and allow people to feel heard for being compassionate about this topic.
  3. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. Currently, I am in Student Government, work in the Sacramento Youth Mental Health team, and spoke at the UC Davis Science Café. I am also collaborating with highschoolers from Brazil to Canada to create an AI mental health resource and working on a project at Holmes for helping struggling students.
  4. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. Wellness deserves to be stigma-free!

DHS is already great, I want to make it better.
  2. Why do you think you are qualified for this role?
    1. I’m a very organized person, I make lists and plans before going forward. I want to help StudGov create thorough steps and plan things well in order to have fun events. I’ve also been involved in many different aspects of school, so I feel that because of my interests, I can recognize perspectives from all types of different students.

I find a lot of satisfaction in organization, and I take pride in my note-taking, which makes the administrative duties of ASB Secretary a natural fit for my skill set. 1. What is one specific thing you hope to accomplish as ASB Treasurer?
    1. Many DHS clubs, teams, etc. feel overlooked seeing money distributed disproportionately when it could be better spent supporting a more diverse array of students. As ASB Treasurer, I aspire to help students feel recognized and supported by spending less on projects that students don’t endorse (e.g. decreasing merchandise orders to minimize losses) and more on supporting as many students as possible (e.g. more money towards school spirit at varying sports). I aim to redistribute funds in order to diminish losses, maximize profit, and allocate ASB funds to  prioritize our student body and reflect our students’ goals and passions.
  2. Why do you think you are qualified for the role?
    1. I was Freshman Class President, meaning I worked to organize events like dances, rallies, and spirit weeks. In doing so, I managed funds, budgeted, and worked to effectively allocate class and Associated Student Body funds. I have been a part of Student Government at DHS for the past year. I am treasurer of the DHS club Helping Women Home. In this role, I help organize fundraisers and monitor club funds. I attended a summer program at Columbia University about business, finance, and economics, during which I gained important insight into these fields that would benefit me as ASB Treasurer.
  3. What is a slogan that defines your campaign?
    1. “Bank on the Best!” With my experience, my passion for the field, and my commitment to our student body, I am confident that I can positively contribute to our school as ASB Treasurer.

  2. Why do you think you are qualified for the role?
    1. As treasurer of the Best Buddies club last year, I gained experience managing funds, planning fundraisers, and coordinating with the finance office. As current President of the club, I work with the Treasurer to plan and budget more broadly for our events and have gained experience with effectively communicating and working in a team. I’m also currently in the student government class where I have gained insight on how ASB funds are managed and how much it costs to put on our activities and events. If elected ASB treasurer, I will apply this knowledge and experience school wide.
