“Light that flame, get that fire!”

The sounds of singing can be heard from the Brunelle as Davis High Theatre produces its first indoor spring musical since lockdown, “Firebringer”.

Firebringer follows a tribe discovering fire with the help of the tribe troublemaker, Zazzalil. Singing and comedy ensue!

“Firebringer is a really funny show … I think the show has an inspiring vibe and is very uplifting,” senior Morgan Hendrix-Chupa said. Hendrix-Chupa plays Grunt, an artist and an outsider of the tribe.

“It’s the story of how, as the show says, how for better or worse it changed us, it’s kind of an analogy for a lot of other things we have in modern times.” said freshman Django Nachmanoff, who plays Ducker, a caveperson “priest”.

The second weekend of “Firebringer” will consist of three on March 10, 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Blue Devil online store. The show includes some adult language and themes may not be suitable for audiences under the age of 13.
