The Student Government class has come up with a new activity to participate in this holiday season. Any student may submit a “wish” to Student Government and they will be selecting certain people to grant their wish during finals week.
Student Government has set up a table in the quad where students may submit their wishes.
According to senior and Student Government member Carolina Sturla, since this is the first year doing this activity she is not sure what kind of wishes people will request and what wishes will be granted.
“We can’t give out four iPods a day,” Sturla said. “[And] obviously we can’t get [a student] a car.”
Sturla said that they would like to give out three or four wishes each day during finals week, depending on how many students choose to participate. Some students though could perhaps receive a rather expensive gift if they are lucky.
“We have a lot of money so if someone asked for an iPod we could probably get an iPod,” Sturla said.
However, the number and quality of gifts given will all depend on how many students submit wishes and the cost of their wishes.
Students may submit their wishes on the quad at lunch on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
