Strong pushes for Davis continued throughout as they took the lead and kept it, with help from junior Rockwell Lybert as he swiped the net with a handful of threes.

With the Blue Devils forcing more turnovers, the result came in more chances to score. Junior Jason Henkel and sophomore Ryan Jaramillo took advantage, and both drained three-pointers from beyond the arch.

As the clock ticked down to the final moments of the first half, the Blue Devils made the crowd go crazy with a jaw-dropping three.

Davis was still with the lead at 27-17 as they exited for halftime.

Although Cosumnes Oaks started out hot right out of halftime, Davis’ leading three-point scorer in the game, Lybert, dropped two more three-pointers, for his third and fourth in the game, pushing their lead back to six points.

However, the Wolfpack started to creep back with some points of their own, making it only a two-point game at two minutes left in the third quarter. Even so, Davis was still on top at the end of the quarter, 39-36.

As the score tightened, so did the friction between opposing players. At the start of the fourth, Cosumnes Oaks players threw some words and physical nudges at sophomore Devan Minouei.

However, Henkel backed up his teammate and extended Davis’ lead with another three, his second of the game.

Securing the win in the final minute, a clutch fastbreak off a Cosumnes Oaks turnover allowed Jaramillo to splash one more three for Davis, making the final score 56-51.
